Ancillary benefits

Ancillary benefits, also known as supplemental benefits, are additional coverages or services that are offered alongside primary insurance plans. These benefits are designed to complement and enhance the coverage provided by the primary insurance policy. Ancillary benefits can help fill coverage gaps in a benefit program.

Common ancillary benefits include:

  • Dental Insurance provides coverage for dental services such as routine check-ups, cleanings, fillings, and other dental procedures. Dental insurance is often offered as a separate plan or as an add-on to a health insurance policy.
  • Vision insurance covers eye care services such as routine eye exams, prescription eyewear (glasses or contact lenses), and discounts on vision correction procedures. Like dental insurance, vision insurance is often offered as a standalone plan or as an add-on to health insurance.
  • Critical illness insurance provides a lump-sum payment if you are diagnosed with a covered critical illness such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, or organ failure. The benefit can be used to cover medical expenses, treatment costs, or any other financial obligations that may arise during your illness.
  • Cancer benefits are additional coverage options which provide enhanced financial support to manage the financial burdens associated with a cancer diagnosis and treatment such as hospital stays, transportation and lodging, home health care and more.
